The Law School of Tanzania was established in 2007 under the Ministry of Constitutional Affairs and Justice. It replaced an Externship system with a Practical Legal Training Program. Would you love to apply for admissions at the Law School of Tanzania in 2022?

The Law School is of Tanzania offers practical legal programs to the undergraduate law degree graduates. The school has two main departments, the office of the principal and the research and publication department.

Application

The Law School of Tanzania 2021/2022 intake's admission was on 10th to 14th January 2022 and their first semester's academic timetable is already out. Therefore, they are not accepting applications for admission for now.

Payments

Since the institution does not accept cash, deposit money to its designated bank account or use four mobile payment options, Tigopesa, M-Pesa, AirtelMoney, and T-Pesa. The payments' portal on the website is reserved for Law School of Tanzania's staff to fills in your name, email, and phone number, then gives you a control number and a billing invoice printout in pdf.

Requirements for application

Ideally, send your application while in your last year of college if you want to enter law school immediately after graduating. Meanwhile, get these documents in preparation for application:

1. All applicants from postgraduate programs (form IV and form VI holders) should have both A- level and O- level index numbers written in this format, S0000/0000/0000 or EQ2014002504/2001 (eg. S1147/0152/2012).

2. Equivalent applicants and Foundation programs (Diploma holders) should have an Award verification number (AVN) from NACTE.

3. Obtain NACTE's translation if you have foreign certificates ie Diploma for O level and A Level certificates and TCU for degrees.

4. Apply online using names that appear in your form four (O level) certificates. Don't alter their sequence or add extra names.

5. Provide the correct information when applying. Any non-disclosure of details or providing false information will cancel your admission.

How to apply at the Law School of Tanzania

Keep proof of your non-refundable application fee payment. Otherwise, the school will not process your application. Moreover, don't upload any certificate to the school's website if the application process is closed. Meanwhile, below is a summary of what to do:

  • Select intake you intend to apply. In this case, you will have to wait till 2023.
  • Choose the year completed your O level.
  • Fill in the control number, email, mobile number, and secondary school's ordinary index numbers.
  • Those with equivalent number should also follow the above procedure.
  • Click Next to proceed (your name and year of completion (eg EQ202067777/2012) will appear automatically if you completed the O level in Tanzania after 1987).
  • Those who completed O level in Tanzania-before 1987 or completed ordinary level education outside Tanzania will fill out their names and year of completion in the form.
  • The system will generate a username (O level index no) and default password and display them on the screen. Note these details and use them to log into the application system.
  • Tap on Click here to log in at the right corner of your screen and use the details in step 7 to log in.
  • Remember to fill in your personal details eg names, birth certificate/National ID number, disability, citizenship, and so on as you proceed with your application.
  • Click save after after filling the form.
  • Scan each certificate into a PDF format separately and upload it into the system.
  • Preview your details and click Submit if they are okay.
