Chloe Bailey, who has been a dedicated vegan for 10 years was left ‘in tears’ after ‘accidentally’ eating a beef burger.
The star opened up about the ordeal on an Instagram live stream which happened in Georgia while attending Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour concert in Atlanta, Georgia.
Chloe Bailey left ‘crying’ after accidentally eating beef burger
Describing the situation on a ‘Story Time’ via Instagram Live, the 25-year-old was left in tears as she said something “didn’t feel right.”
“The one bite I took and I just knew. Immediately I said, ‘This doesn’t feel right’.” She explained how the “juice dripping down” definitely didn’t feel like a Beyond burger.
She then called the receptionist downstairs, asking if they were vegan burgers, to which he responded: “No, they’re brand burgers’. I said, ‘Brand burgers? I said Beyond burgers’. I don’t even know what a brand burger is.”
“Immediately I’m losing my s***. I gobbled down a whole can of Sprite. Halle’s laughing at me because I’m crying. This is right before the concert yesterday. I’m crying, Halle’s just laughing so hard at me because I’m freaking out.
“I’ve been vegan for 10 years. I have not consumed any red meat for 10 years,” the Hollywood star added.

The celebrity sisters have been vegan for the past 10 years, which they openly spoke about in an interview with Complex six years ago, four years into their journey.
Speaking on the number one ‘secret to keeping their voices in shape’ Chloe said: “God. Two, we’re vegan, so we’re not consuming dairy and it’s not that extra mucus buildup all the time.
“We hydrate a lot more before performances. We were really on a roll of drinking gallon jugs of water, and that made us feel better mentally and physically.”
On why they decided to become vegan, Halle expressed that it started with their mother: “One day she was like, ‘I’m gonna try to be vegetarian for a week. You can join me if you’d like.’ We started the week with her and just never went back.”
Fans express their sympathy for the situation
Although Halle may not have been the most comforting in the situation, fans took to Instagram to comfort the Little Mermaid star on the ordeal, as similar things have happened to them in the past.
“If I put 10 years into something and someone’s mistake jeopardizes that, I’d be p******,” penned one.
Another fan, who could relate, wrote: “I’m vegetarian and it’s definitely hard to tell the difference sometimes. That stomach ache ain’t no joke.”
