Their popularity has seen influxes and slumps since stepping down as senior royals. We expected the couple to lose a range of privileges, but what we didn’t see coming was how they would affect the popularity of baby names – and it’s not looking positive.

Fewer parents are naming their newborns Harry and Meghan as the feud between the couple and the rest of the Royal Family shows no signs of reconciliation.
According to Baby Centre, the name Harry has dipped 10 spaces from 13th place to 23rd place. “Meghan and alternate spelling Megan have also dropped in registrations,” they report.
Although Harry and Meghan haven’t made the 2023 cut, two other royals have: George is the ninth most popular baby boy name. Prince George of Wales will be ecstatic to hear about it.
With Lily topping the girls’ list, it seems that the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex’s reputation hasn’t affected their daughter. Their second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, is known as Lili by her parents.
Lili is reportedly of Latin origin and comes from the lily flower, a symbol of purity.

Prince Harry is a hit in the US compared to his wife
Despite being a beloved US TV actress, Meghan’s popularity has reportedly taken a knock in recent months.
A new poll of 1500 American adults conducted for Newsweek in early September showed that the Suits star was liked by 31 per cent. She was disliked by 33 per cent, which narrowly trails behind Prince Harry, who was liked by 39 per cent and disliked by 27 per cent.
Meghan is more popular among 18 to 26-year-olds, who awarded her a “net approval rating of +19.” than boomers, who gave her a minus 7 rating.
However, those aged 57 – 75 gave her a -7 rating.
